Make your Jeep Better-quipped in the Trails With a Best-in-class Oxygen Sensor

The Jeep oxygen sensor is part of the network of data-gathering devices in the vehicle that prevents poor engine performance. Typically mounted on the outskirts of the vehicle’s combustion chambers, the Jeep oxygen sensor screens the fumes on their way out to the car exhaust assembly and feeds the oxygen content read of the gas to the on board electronic control unit (ECU). A low oxygen count in the exhaust can mean a rich fuel delivery, an imbalance characterized by a decrease in power. And, because more air are not being used in combustion and simply go out to the exhaust system untapped, the air-to-fuel imbalance results in an uneconomical use of the fuel and often leads to more exhausts and wasted fuel. Depending on the oxygen content read of the Jeep oxygen sensor, the ECU makes the necessary adjustments on the fuel injection and air intake systems of the vehicle. By calculating the exhaust hundreds of times per minute, the Jeep ECU is able to make adjustments, maintain optimum engine performance and lower smoke emissions. This functionality of the Jeep oxygen sensor is especially useful in the trails, when driving under diverse weather conditions and different drive applications. Air intake is fickle, and depends on numerous factors like altitude, engine temperature, air temperature, engine load, barometric pressure, etc. The level of oxygen in the exhaust is a determinant of the quality of the burn material itself. This is critical as a poor burn not only wastes fuel but may also affect the performance of the Jeep. There are many types of Jeep oxygen sensors currently available, with the single wire oxygen sensor and the heated oxygen sensor being the most commonly used because of their durable finishes. The heated Jeep oxygen sensor has a built-in heating ingredient specifically-designed to maintain the vehicle’s ideal engine operating temperature. The sensing element of these Jeep oxygen sensor types are enclosed in a heavy-duty billet to ensure their precision reads. Common factors that affect the reliability of the Jeep oxygen sensors are bad electrical connections, poor air supply, improper operating temperature, and the exposure of the sensing element to unleaded gasoline.

Why does my car smoke when i take off fast when i shift from first to second?

I have a 2000 5 speed vw jetta. and when i take off from a stop sometimes it smokes out the exhaust when i change from 1st gear to second. now the check engine light is one, but they said it was the o2 sensor. i just replace the catalytic converter. any hints or tip on what to do? thanks!
i beileve the smoke is white, and it only happens when i take off fast

you might want to have the vehicle checked out by a reputable shop,to further see whats wrong with it,usually smoke between changing gears is caused by over loading on gas or bad valve stem seals ,either way id have it checked, most shops will check this and tell you what it is or what they think it is for free,so you have nothing to loose by doing it,good luck on it.

CFL’s, Motion Sensors, and Buzzing Sound. Expert advice needed…?

In the basement of my 3 family home I have a 15 amp home run coming out of the owners box, which goes into a basement ceiling light (pull chain), which I spliced into and ran a line for a flush mount light over the basement stairs, that is controlled by a motion sensor. I repeated this in one other area of the basement making for two motion sensors and 3 fixtures on this 15 amp breaker. Two fixtures have CFL’s, those new compact fluorescent bulbs.
Well, when the motion sensors are set to the “on” position, everything is good, however, when I set the motion sensors to “motion”, I get a buzzing from the fixture and from the electric panel/breaker, only when the lights go on. The old style bulbs don’t do this, which leads me to believe it’s the CFL’s.
I can’t use a regular switch because the tenants would leave them on all day. I’m afraid to leave it alone, and I’ve triple checked my connections. What should I do?

The motion sensors are not rated for CFL’s. Hence the noise.
The good news is that with the sensors installed the tenants won’t be using as much juice. So the difference in cost to operate the incandescents won’t be an issue.
So either reinstall the incandescents or see if you can find motion sensors rated for CFL’s.

Benefits Of Using Motion Sensor Lights For Your Home Security

One of the few bad things of living in a house is the danger of intruders to your property. However this is easily fixed by using motion sensitive lights that can fend off unwanted visitors right away.

The way the motion sensor lights work to keep you safe is by using a passive infrared sensor that easily detects any changes in the infrared radiation coming from the direction where you have the sensor turned towards. If there something out there that emits extra heat, the sensor will know about it and will signal letting you know of the fact.

In order to make the best of your motion sensitive lights, you need to know where to place them for best results. Of course they are perfect for outdoor security on your patio, backyard or deck. The way you should install these is to aim them towards areas that you want guarded by them. So you might want to know right away if anyone is approaching your home front door. Then the sensor will target the path towards your entry door. Or you might feel the need to make sure that no one is lurking in dark corners around your home. You can easily aim the sensor right towards those dark corners. This will allow you to feel much safer knowing that you’ve done everything you can to keep your family and home safe from burglars.

One important benefit of using these lights instead of lamps that are always on is the fact that you do want to get your nightly sleep. If you have lights on all the time during the night, you might not be able to sleep due to the light coming into your eyes all the time. However with motion sensor lighting, you will have outdoor illumination only when you need it: only when the sensor notices anything unusual around the path of your home.

On the other hand, for best interior illumination and safety, you can use a modern touch table lamp that works at the flick of your finger over the button.

3 Reasons to Use a Driveway Patrol Over a Driveway Informer

In today’s world, with the news telling horror stories of families gunned down in their homes, you need to protect your loved ones, especially at home. Your children consider their house a sanctuary from the world, even if they don’t understand that word, and they grow within its walls. To allow someone to violate its sanctity can scar them permanently. If you want to guard your home then you need to invest in a security system that will adequately warn you of potential threats.

There are many companies in the market today offering inexpensive solutions to your security needs and it is important for you to know their strengths and differences. Of all the devices available, the Driveway Patrol and the Driveway Informer seem to be leading the market in sales. Thus, as you explore your options you will probably run into deals for each of them. Below you will find three reasons why you should choose the Patrol over the Informer:

Cost – Most people today do not have a lot of extra money to spend on security, which is a testament to the sad state of things, and they need to find the least expensive solution that will provide sufficient coverage. Of the two above the Patrol costs far less than the Informer, without sacrificing quality. The reason for this is simple, unlike the Informer the Patrol is massed produced for television marketing and requires less material to create.

Efficiency – A driveway sensor alarm is meant to alert people inside of a building that someone is approaching through a specific field of view using an infrared motion sensor. The problem with motion sensors is that they cannot differentiate between cars, people, and animals. They will go off if anything breaks their beam, which means that you want a device with a highly controllable beam. Unlike the Driveway Informer, the Patrol has an easily controllable beam, which allows you to aim it at a certain height to avoid false alarms from small animals.

Versatility – Most driveway sensors have a limit to the number of devices that can be linked into a system. However, the Driveway Patrol is an analog system that can have as many devices hooked into as you would like to use. This can be incredibly helpful if you have multiple drives or entrances that you would like to monitor. They are also easy to install and move, because they only require a simple mounting bracket that can be attached to almost any surface. This means that you can change their angle or location at any time depending on what you need the device to detect.

Keep these reasons in mind when you are doing your research and you will realize that the Patrol is a much better option than the Informer. You should also remember that driveway alarms are not full proof or preventative measures. They are meant to alert you to possible threats and should be used in that manner in order to prevent you from falling into a false sense of security.

What are the best driveway sensors?

I’m looking to buy my mom a driveway alert thing. Not sure if the less expensive ones are going to be a BUST. Please help.

the best sensors are your/her eyes! but if you are getting any, they all work on a low freq, radar, so get the cheaper ones, but make sure you get the ones with increasing speed in the repeater, other wise it doesn’t tell you how close your getting, it just says somethings there.
