There are five sports simulations in Wii Sports. They are:

* Tennis – Player character movement is controlled by the computer. The game is controlled by the player performing realistic tennis swings. Multiplayer is supported for up to 4 players, requiring one remote per player.

* Baseball – One player stands at home plate, and the other is the pitcher. Batters grip and swing the controller like a bat, trying to time their swings correctly. When pitching, players can choose different types of pitches, activated by pressing one or more of the Wii Remote’s buttons (A, B, or A+B) or by changing to underarm pitching by pressing the 2 button. The pitch types are screwball, curveball, splitter and fastball. If there is only one player, the opposing team is computer controlled. The game lasts 3 innings with the mercy rule ending the game early if one player leads by 5 runs. Multiplayer is supported with each team taking turns batting/ pitching in the same way as playing against the computer. The maximum possible amount of players are two. Two remotes are required for multiplayer.

* Golf – In Golf, the player can choose the appropriate strength with which to swing. The player can adjust the direction of the play as well as which club to use. After each swing, the player moves to the ball’s new location and swings again. The faster the player swings the controller, the further the ball will fly. Swinging the controller too fast will cause the ball to slice or hook, and the player controls the direction with the + pad. Putting requires more delicacy. Nine of the eighteen holes from Golf are included. Multiplayer with up to four people is supported with one (or more) Wii Remote(s).

* Boxing – This is the only Wii Sports title to use both the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk attachment. The player holds the Wii Remote in one hand and the Nunchuk in the other and jabs to punch (quick flicks of the wrist are most effective). Raising both controllers blocks punches from the opponent, and moving the Wii Remote and Nunchuk moves the players fists. Moving the controllers from side to side and backward and forward causes the character to lean appropriately. A health meter is displayed next to the boxers. With each successful hit, health is deducted. When all health is depleted the player is knocked down. The player may then rise, with a partially refilled health meter. After being knocked down several times, the player will stay down, and the referee will declare “knockout”. If the player is not hit for some time, or when the player is knocked out by shaking both the remote and the Nunchuk, the health restores. More powerful punches come from counterpunching. Multiplayer with up to two people is supported (but requires two Wii Remotes with Nunchuk attachments).

* Bowling – In Bowling, the player swings the controller backward and then forward to bowl the ball. Spin can be put on the ball by tilting the controller. Many Easter eggs exist in this game, including the ball bouncing if the player delays his/her release[2], making the ball fall back towards the crowd, and bowling off onto another lane[3]. Multiplayer with up to four people is supported with one (or more) Wii Remote(s).

After every game, a player is awarded (or penalized) skill points based on how well they played. Once a player has 1000 skill points in a certain sport, they are considered pro level, and often awarded with cosmetic features (a Pro bowler has stars on their bowling ball). Also a Mii newly turned pro will receive a message on the Wii’s message board notifying them. Baseball and Boxing do not reward or subtract points during multiplayer games. Points can be earned in multiplayer tennis matches, on the condition that the two players are on the same team against the computer. Presumably this is done to curb cheating where a human player could deliberately lose to another human and artificially boost the winner’s skill points.

Can you take a picture remotely in Second Life?

In the Second Life online game, I would like to place a camera on my sim that is motion activated, taking pictures regardless of whether I am there or not. Can anyone tell me if this is possible?

Many thanks in advance,

Lindsay

The only way to do that would be to have an alt (alternate account) logged in and take the snapshots from that account instead. Someone would have to sit at the keyboard and watch the screen for the moment to take the snapshots, there would be no way of making it automatic and there’s no way to take a pic remotely without at least one avatar being there.

How do I disable the security system on my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo?

The security alarm wont shut off no matter what. Theres no horn, but the lights outside and the inside dash security light flashes and they just won’t shut off. This is keeping me from starting the Jeep. The security system in this jeep will shut off the fuel injector and keeps it from running. I need to disable the security system all together. How can I do this?

If you need to disable the security system then remove its wiring and for that you may refer to the user manual of the security system.

Thanks

Motion Activated Face, 40, “”, “”, “”, “”, “”, “”, “”, “”, “”, “”, “2″, “”, “4″

The 7th house (where the Sun visits every year) draws your attention to the business of relating, to marriage and the need for that special someone in your life. When you look at a chart and there are planets in the 7th (at birth) they are ‘activated’ at least once a month (by the Moon) and once a year by the Sun, along with other visitors to the 7th at various time in the year and in your life. Your natal chart offers information about how you cooperate with others and they with you = relationships. Lawsuits are also shown here as well as one-to-one friendships (your best friend). What you think you lack in yourself you’ll attract in others and what you abhor in others is a reflection of what you ‘hate’ in yourself!

Being the house of Attraction you’ll ‘draw’ to yourself whatever and whomever you need in order to grow and develop. In understanding any planets within or aspects to the 7th you’ll come to understand what it is you NEED (which is different to what you want). Remember, this position won’t show any actual person but it will indicate the ‘type’ of individual being ‘drawn’ into your life or, the type of person you’re attracted to…

Grandparents are shown here as well as anyone who acts on your behalf (agents etc.). Being the house of Open Enemies (and who is our biggest enemy?) refer to this house when you feel you’re being ‘persecuted’ in any way… The 7th house is multi-faceted for it is the house of equality and if any relationship, marriage or union is not ‘equal’ then failure is sure to follow. The challenge of how two people can make any kind of relationship (marriage) work is perhaps the greatest challenge we all face, it is not to be taken lightly. Talking of marriage, not everyone enters the marital bed with ‘love in his or her eyes’. No way for there’s often a hidden agenda working beneath the surface. Fire signs indicate and impulsiveness in forming partnerships. Earth signs take their time. Air signs need communication. Water signs need relationships more than most thinking “being with someone is better than being alone…” This information is offered as a guideline only for there are many, many dynamics at work when two people meet face-to-face (another keyword for this house).

Human being are perhaps the most vulnerable of all when it comes to relationships for many, many attract the same circumstances over and over again, never really learning anything, it’s always something that happens to them or the other person’s fault or, even blaming FATE…

The 7th house in reality is asking you to look at your 1st for they mirror each other.

Look to any planets in this house for they’ll tell you about what you need or what you can expect in any partnership/relationship/close friendship. Example the Sun in the 7th could mean looking for a father figure! The Moon could mean that you’re looking for a mother figure and so on. “I have Uranus located here – what does that say about what I need?” Drop me an email with your suggestions LOL. Sometimes the actual sign or the element of the sign on the cusp can give you a clue as to what you need in a partner or, what you need to express outwardly.

Being the house of ‘balance’ it’s often the case that we seek in ‘another’ that part of our ‘self’ that need to be made ‘whole’ (whether this is achieved easily is another matter) for remember this house is all about the identification of oneself through interacting with others on a personal level (remember this the next time you pick a ‘fight’ with another for you’re really ‘fighting’ with yourself!) Examine this house for it set’s in motion patterns. “If you always do what you’ve always done then you’ll always get what you’ve always got.” As I said the 7th house indicates patterns and if you won’t learn from the experiences offered by this house then you are ‘doomed’ to repeat them until you do.

Keeping in mind ‘patterns’ are set in motion if the same thing happens to you a third time and then they are difficult to break.

Cat won’t stay off counters and pet cages HELP!?

I have tried everything and tried every suggestion online to keep my cat off the kitchen counters. We recently purchased additional pets that stay in a cage so now he’s jumping on that too. Is there anything we can do? I’ve tried tape, orange spray, water, pennies in a can, even the motion activated spray. This cat is trying his hardest to eat my anoles and has ruined furniture and broken dishes jumping on and off the counter. I have even had to throw away food because he sticks his face in the pots and pans while they’re cooking and drinks out of our glasses. Someone please help I don’t know what else to do!
We’ve actually tried the blender trick, he sniffed it and kept playing on the counter.

You… need to be the boss of your cat.
I don’t have a cat, but here’s what I’d probably try:

Keep him locked in a bathroom or something when you’re not there to actually watch him, until he stops misbehaving.
When you are there, watch him. If he gets up on the counter, or otherwise does things he’s not supposed to do, yell at him, and physically remove him, possibly sticking him back in the bathroom for a while.

Once he’s been behaving while actually in your presence for a while, set things up (pennies in cans, or something) so that you’ll be able to tell from the next room if he’s jumped on the counter. If he does, again, yell, remove, and if necessary stick back in the bathroom.

Once he seems to have *that* down, try leaving him alone for short periods, with something set up so you’ll know if he’s been on the counter. If he seems to be behaving, leave him free for longer stretches alone. Once you get to the point where he’s been not jumping on the counter even when you’re gone all day, you’ve probably broken the habit, and can stop setting up can traps every time you leave the house.

As to the anoles, I’m not sure if there’s anywhere you can put them where he won’t readily see them, but if there is, you should do so. Cats will pretty much see anything the size of an anole that’s moving around as a tasty crunchy cat treat, or at least a live cat toy. You can’t really blame him for his instincts.

Those That Can, 40, “”, “”, “”, “”, “”, “”, “”, “”, “”, “”, “2″, “”, “4″

Leadership is the ability to bring a group of people together and to have them work together as a team. They have to be able to understand that without them working together, nothing will get done. Cohesiveness is a necessary factor in maintaining a properly functioning sales team. And this also directly applies to the guys at the top of the totem pole, as they are sometimes the main reason for the lack of bonding that should exist.

One of the biggest mistake that I’ve seen managers make is that they lack an internal vision, and let short term gains not drive long term benefits. It seems that more and more managers are achieving their positions mainly by being elevated to the position due to tenure. This is not a manager that you would want above you.

Communication between all level of sales and management is crucial to effective team building. And not all techniques can be taught.

ONE PERSON CANNOT CARRY AN ENTIRE COMPANY. Those who think they can, are just fooling themselves.

True leaders have a gift at being able to not only “manage” a group of people, but to do so with respect, and guidance, and to feel responsible for helping the entire team reach their goals. Some managers treat people like they are a number you just picked at your local bakery. You need to always remember that you are dealing with human beings – and the human spirit needs encouragement no matter what you are relating to in life. You need to really understand why you want to be a leader – you need to understand yourself first over anything else – realizing just how much energy that is required to be effective in a management position. You need to understand that there will be sacrifices made that may keep you from your family, and this will not always be easy.

A manager or leader will constantly be pulled in many different directions at once, but it is their internal purpose and core strength that will drive them continuously forward, while providing support to those around them, as well. They are not someone who feels “above” others, but rather try to inspire others to see their vision, and help them achieve it.

The best way to rate a leader’s success is to look at the team that he is leading. He can empower his team by leading by example, and setting forth a precedence that others will admire and want to follow. IF HIS TEAM IS FAILING MISERABLY, THEN SO IS HE, and he should take some responsibility and blame for their failure. Take sports, for example. Coaches are undeniably a huge influential force on their teams, and if they are not leading the team effectively, it doesn’t matter what skill you have or not. Rather, It is how the coach, their leader, molds them and channels their skills will all of the players needs and abilities in mind. He cannot disregard any member of his team, but digs deep within himself to find ways to enable his team to run efficiently and effectively. In a way, they are like his “children”, whom he will nurture and guide and put all of his energies into making them better. He is their mentor – and takes his job very seriously. He is passing his leadership skills onto the team, not to make them robots of what he wants them to do, but to give them the necessary “tools” that will excel them further in their careers.

We all know what it is like to have bad leaders…We’ve had them in our jobs, in our kids schools, and running our country. But the one point that every leader should maintain is that leaders should put forth future leaders. They need to ensure that their wisdom and knowledge will help others to know and understand just what it takes to lead.

Not everyone can be a leader. Look inside yourself deeply. Know what drives you and the level of strength that you possess. The more in tune you are with yourself, the better you will be to those around you.

Is there really a pressure point on the body that can kill you if hit or is that just martial arts myth?

a simple answer is no. there is no spot on the body where you can just touch someone and they would die either instantly or within days. however, the body is capable of producing enough power in a single blow that, if delivered to the precise spot under perfect conditions, it could kill a person. but since its your instinct to either move or block a strike, it is difficult to have that perfect strike.

Tips For Using Your Home Safe

Recently your friends have been talking about their home safes. The discussions are general, non-specific. You then notice that crime seems to be increasing; after all the economy is suffering and when the economy suffers crime does increase, but why should you buy one? Really what is the point of having a safe inside of your own house? Safes are something that banks have so what is the point of having one inside your home?

Safes give you the ability to protect items within your home that possess value, be it to you or to someone else.

Do you have a will? Where are you going to store those wedding photo proofs that are irreplaceable and everyone tells you need to be put in a safe place? Do you own any expensive jewelry, precious metals or gem stones? Are there small children with access to your possessions? If you answered yes to the last question then answer this one, do you own a gun? Are you sure they a) can’t find it and b) if they do that it’s not loaded?

These are all perfect examples of items to place in a safe. Any and all important documents like wills and insurance documents that will be critical and need to be accessed quickly are always great candidates for safes. Small valuable items like jewelry, photographic equipment or other small valuable items can be placed in a safe, and there are a variety of safes to fulfill these protection needs.

Safes come in varied sizes, fire protection ratings and organizational, drawer or compartment styles. Gun safes can come with both combination and key locks so that even if someone finds the key they may not be able to get past the combination or vice versa. The important thing is to analyze the items you feel are important to place within a safe and then do the proper research to determine what size and style are going to fulfill your needs. Safes can be bulky and definitely heavy so it is important to assess how you will be using it.

Equally important to assessing your needs is assessing the storage location for the safe. Make sure the location provides adequate space and accessibility. If purchasing a gun safe analyze first the why you own the gun, meaning are you a collector or is it for protection. If you are a collector your ability to access the gun quickly is less important that if you possess the gun for protection. In case you own it for protection you want the safe to be close by, not in a corner in the attic.

Home safes can be cost efficient based on your needs, typically averaging between $50 and $150. Some vendors offer warranties for limited time periods and your home insurance carrier may offer deductions on your premiums based on what the safe’s contents may be.

So now you’ve thought about it and analyzed your needs and made a purchase decision. Best of luck with your new safe.

ER (DVD) Review

Nominated for 25 Golden Globes and 110 Emmys, including 7 for Outstanding Drama Series, ER has long been one of the best prime-time shows on television. Premiering in September 1994 on NBC, the hour-long hospital drama vividly illustrates the intensity and fast-paced stress endemic to hospital emergency rooms across America. Brought into being by Michael Crichton – famous Hollywood insider, novelist, and brains behind such films as Jurassic Park, Twister, and Timeline – ER fulfills its creator’s ultimate vision (it took over a decade of pitching the show before network executives bit) for a close-to-life glimpse of the technology and the humanity omnipresent in the ER. Since its inception, many cast members have passed through the halls of ER, many of them having gone on to become big stars in Hollywood…

ER follows the exploits of a group of emergency room staff who work in a busy Chicago hospital. The show attempts to examine every detail of the ER experience. From the exhilaration of saving a life to the tedium caused by mountains of paperwork, all the highs and lows are covered. In the show’s first year, a number of regular faces staffed the ER. Doctors Mark Greene (Anthony Edwards), Peter Benton (Eriq La Salle), Douglas Ross (George Clooney), and Susan Lewis (Sherri Stringfield) were regulars in the ER along with Head Nurse Carol Hathaway (Julianna Margulies) and Benton’s medical student understudy (and later ER doctor), John Carter (Noah Wyle)… Any given episode tends to run multiple plot lines throughout the show, interweaving scenes in short snippets intended to heighten audience emotion and create the aura of a stress-laden atmosphere. The show’s high drama, coupled with subplots of the staffers’ personal lives and the display of cutting edge medical technology, combine to make ER one of most adrenaline-inducing programs in television history…

The ER DVD features a number of dramatic episodes including the series premiere “24 Hours” in which a long day in the ER is made longer when multiple casualties pour through the doors following the collapse of a building and medical students report for training (marking the first appearance for John Carter’s character). Meanwhile, Dr. Benton performs a heart surgery normally reserved only for senior staff members while the staff is struck with a personal tragedy when Head Nurse Carol Hathaway is brought in following a suicide attempt… Other notable episodes from Season 1 include “Blizzard” in which a major snowstorm first leads to an empty ER and then (following a 40-car pileup) one with overflowing capacity, and “House of Cards” in which, while trying to keep up with Carter, Deb nearly causes a patient’s death…

I guess you are looking for a media card camcorder, as they are probably going to be the smallest. All the major companies make them for your budget, Night vision is the only thing that is going to be a little hard. lower priced camcorders with night vision (infrared) are not that good, but if you are close enough then they are not too bad.

Try looking here to give you an idea
