FEGC invests 2.9 bln rubles in first stage of gasification of Vladivostok CHPP-2
OJSC far Eastern Generating Company (FEGC) has invested over 2.86 billion rubles in the first stage of the gasification project at the Vladivostok Combined Heat and Power Plant-2 (CHPP), the largest power station in the southern Primorye territory, the genco said in a statement.
The total cost of the investment project for gasifying the Vladivostok CHPP-2, which FEGC is implementing, exceeds 5.44 billion rubles.
During the first stage, six of the station’s 14 boiler units were converted from coal to gas.
OJSC Daltekhenergo is the general contractor and general design engineer for the project.
Daltekhenergo said that a new complex was built at CHPP-2 to provide the station’s boilers with fuel (fuel oil). The complex comprises a discharge jetty for eight cars, a fuel oil pumping station, a fire extinguisher system and three oil fuel storage reservoirs of 5,000 cubic meters each, which ensures CHPP-2′s secure operation even in the case of an interruption in the main fuel supply.
The Vladivostok CHPP-2 currently provides for 80% of Vladivostok’s electricity needs and 63% of its heat needs.
FEGC’s Primorsk Generating Company is the main electricity and heat producer in the southern Primorye territory. It includes the Vladivostok CHPP-2 (with an installed capacity of 497 MW), the Artemovsk CHPP (400 MW) and the Partizansk State District Power Plant (GRES) (247 MW).
