Elyria police

Tuesday, Jan. 3

8:23 a.m. — 600 block Wayne St., a man reported someone cut the lock off his attached garage but didn’t take anything.

9:58 a.m. — 400 block Olivet Drive, a man reported someone broke his vehicle’s window and stole an iPad from the vehicle.

10:30 a.m. — 600 block Wayne St., a woman reported someone stole a snow blower from her garage.

10:40 a.m. — Midway Mall, a man reported that a former tenant, Charley’s Grilled Subs, had moved out and removed four sinks, various cabinet doors, a menu board and brackets and a sneeze shield from the food counter.

11:21 a.m. — 100 block Hodge Court, a man reported someone slashed three of his vehicle’s tires.

12:21 p.m. — 500 block State St., a woman reported someone broke into her shed and stole her snow blower.

2:14 p.m. — Midway Mall, Debra Farsetti, 47, 100 block Park Meadow; and Timothy McDowell, 75, 400 block Landings Edge Drive, both charged with domestic violence because of an allegedly physical altercation between the two.

2:34 p.m. — 15th Street and West Avenue, LB Market, Joseph Anderson, 57, 300 block 16th St. charged with aggravated menacing and possession of drug paraphernalia; and Dantee Anderson, 24, 800 block West River Road N., charged with aggravated menacing for allegedly threatening a man with a knife and a board.

5:07 p.m. — Irondale and Blake streets, Adam Malicki, 31, Wellington, charged with tampering with evidence, possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

6:35 p.m. — 1000 block Chestnut Commons Drive, Walmart, Dwight Lawson, 42, 400 block Third St., charged with theft and possession of criminal tools for allegedly attempting to steal a shopping cart containing $1,059 worth of electronic items.

7:01 p.m. — 200 block Oberlin Road, a woman reported that someone threatened her while intoxicated. the person was charged but not arrested for domestic violence.

7:10 p.m. — 200 block Second St., Lorain National Bank, someone reported seeing two men remove a catalytic converter from a parked vehicle.

11:40 p.m. — 100 block Hodge Court, a woman reported that a man punched her in the nose several times during. He was charged but not arrested for domestic violence.

Wednesday, Jan. 4

1:27 a.m. — Chestnut and Broad streets, Mark Rohan Jr., 22, 1200 block Lake Ave., charged with robbery for allegedly attempting to steal items from a woman.

12:11 p.m. — 500 block S. Abbe Road, D. Mark Richards, 47, 200 block Oakwood Ave., charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

12:59 p.m. — 100 block Roosevelt Ave., a woman reported someone keyed her car while she was parked at Convenient Food Mart on Cleveland Street.

1:10 p.m. — 500 block Wayne St., a man reported someone broke into a shed and stole four chrome rims and tires.

1:33 p.m. — 200 block Edward Ave., a woman reported someone broke into her shed and stole her power washer.

3:21 p.m. — 700 block Washington Ave., Debra Keller, 53, and James Keller, 56, same address, both charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments; Kellie Keller, 31, same address, charged with possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments; and Joseph Hebebrand, 51, same address, charged with permitting drug abuse.

11:23 p.m. — 200 block Ashland Ave., Todd Meyers, 42, charged with domestic violence for allegedly grabbing his wife by the throat and slamming her on the ground several times and hitting her in the head with a pan.

Thursday, Jan. 5

1:46 a.m. — 900 block E. Broad St., Speedway, Ralph Denn Jr., 35, 100 block Delaware Court, charged with theft and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, for allegedly stealing two 24 packs of Budweiser beer from the gas station.

Lorain police

Tuesday, Jan 3

3:57 p.m. — 1600 block 34th St., Michael Schooley Sr., 36, charged with confinement of dogs, annual registration, rabies immunization and registration of vicious animals, and Miranda Kuhns, 32, charged with annual registration, rabies immunization and registration of vicious animals, because their dogs, a medium-size American bulldog mix and a small pit bull mix allegedly broke loose and bit a neighbor, and they could not provide documentation of registration or immunization.

4:50 p.m. — 1100 block Meister Road, Gilbert Peguero, 50, charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication.

8:33 p.m. — 4300 block Leavitt Road, Walmart, an employee reported her house and car keys and a pack of cigarettes were stolen from the pocket of her coat, which had been hanging in the employee lounge.

Wednesday, Jan. 4

8:16 p.m. — 1400 block W. 23rd St., a man reported someone pried the lock hinge from his garage and stole various tools.

8:44 p.m. — 2200 block Fairless Drive, a man reported someone punctured his two driver’s-side tires.

Thursday, Jan. 5

1 a.m. — 1600 block new Jersey Ave., Angel Beauchamp, 4300 block Andover Ave., charged with possession of cocaine.

1:21 a.m. — West 20th Street and Oberlin Avenue, Justin Brown, 21, 1300 block W. 14th St., charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

8:12 a.m. — 3100 block Oberlin Ave., Troy Jackson Sr., 46, 2300 block Sunset Blvd., charged with petty theft for allegedly attempting to steal a bottle of alcohol from the Sunoco gas station.

LaGrange police

Sunday, Jan. 1

1:25 a.m. — West Main Street, Christopher Tonkin, 20, of LaGrange, was charged with underage consumption and Michael Tonkin, 21, of LaGrange, was charged with marked lanes, DUI and not wearing a seat belt.

3:27 a.m. — 200 block Factory St., domestic violence.

Monday, Jan. 2

7:30 p.m. — 450 N. Center St., IGA, female inside of store and at parking lot was begging for money.

Tuesday, Jan. 3

9:10 a.m. — Church Street, Christopher Smith, Elyria, charged with driving under suspension.

Grafton police

Tuesday, Dec. 27

12:55 p.m. — 1009 Chestnut St., Grafton Police Department, a woman arrived with her granddaughter. the girl advised that a boy called her cell phone at least 30 times in the previous hour. the officer called the phone number and spoke with a girl who advised that she told her brother to stop calling the girl, but he refused to listen. the officer then called the mother at work and she stated she would put a stop to her son’s behavior.

Thursday, Dec. 29

11:34 p.m. — 1000 block Wallace, suspicious vehicle. Turned out OK; man just didn’t want to go home because his parents would have made him stay there due to the curfew.

Friday, Dec. 30

11:07 p.m. — 529 Main St., Lucky Dog Internet cafe, employee advised a man came into the business and entered a website, downloaded pornography which then downloaded a virus onto their computer system.

Saturday, Dec. 31

3:34 p.m. — 533 Main St., Convenient Express, an employee called to advise that there was an intoxicated man inside the store and they were worried he would drive. an office arrived and filed sobriety tests were performed. No alcohol was detected. the man said he was very tired. an officer requested a friend or relative pick him up.

11:53 p.m. — State Route 57, a man was staggering close to the road. He was highly intoxicated and given a ride to meet his father at the Trading Post.

Sunday, Jan. 1

12:54 a.m. — Crook Street, two people took off running. an officer found one male and he stated he was walking to a party and hid because he was intoxicated and was “scared of the police.” He was allowed to walk to the house.
