Identity needed of man who stole camera from Heisler’s
LEWISTOWN VALLEY – Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers and state police at Frackville are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man responsible for a theft at a Walker Township business over the summer.
Police said the theft occurred at 1:55 a.m. July 30 at Heisler’s Cloverleaf Dairy, 743 Catawissa Road, Tamaqua.
Police said a man apparently stood on the roof of a car or inside the bed of a pickup truck and disconnected and stole a Sony indoor-outdoor color video camera valued at $300 that was connected to a pole about 12 feet off the ground.
Police said the man then fled the scene but his image was captured on the main security system to which the camera was connected.
He is described as being in his late teens or early 20s with brown hair, police said.
Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information on the person responsible for this theft or on any other unsolved crime in Schuylkill County.
Callers are asked to refer to incident 01-15-12 when calling with information on the theft from the Walker Township business.
