County BOE approves personnel changes in last meeting of year – The Daily Sentinel: News
The Jackson County Board of Education approved a number ofpersonnel changes during its last regular meeting of 2011.
Those changes included:
• the appointment of J.D. Sargent to the duty and responsibilityof transportation supervisor until that particular position isfilled permanently.
• the resignation/retirement for Charles West, EPCOT instructor,and Sherry Becerra, ELL Aide.
• family medical leave for Keesha King, a Woodville Elementaryteacher, and a leave of absence for Dana Keller, a North SandMountain teacher.
• transfer for Kip Williamson from transition coordinator tospecial education coordinator.
• employment for Cody Anderson as a special education teacherat North Jackson High School, Jamie French as a teacher atHollywood Elementary School, Livia Martin as a countywide ELLAide, Tanya Taber as a countywide Indian Education InstructionalAide, and Sandy Aiken as an eight-hour custodian at BryantElementary School.
• the approval of contracts for Teresa Wallingsford as anassistant to the payroll clerk from January 3, 2012 throughDecember. 31, 2012, and Charles West as part-time instructor atEPCOT from Jan. 3, 2012 through may 29, 2012.
• Bids were approved for Southern Heating & Cooling forsystem-wide HVAC package units ($73,900), for Homelift for a chairlift ($27,659), and for CDW-G for ethernet switches ($19,940).
The next regular session of the Jackson County BOE will beThursday, Jan. 19 beginning at 5:30 p.m.
