Polygraph tester faces sex charges

Winter Haven Police say a polygraph expert is behind bars after drugging and groping a female patron.
Police say 58-year-old William Lee McCallister worked at Florida Polygraph Associates, Inc. He is charged with attempted sexual battery, delivery of a controlled substance and extortion.
The victim told police that she was drugged, groped and fondled after taking a polygraph test.
The victim said McCallister first went into the lobby and asked her husband to leave. according to police, McCallister then went back into the room where the victim was located, dimmed the lights and offered a pill from a prescription bottle. the victim thought McCallister had the authority to administer the drug so she complied. Police say that’s when McCallister began to grope and fondle the victim.
After the woman continued to complain of dizziness, McCallister retrieved her husband. as the victim and her husband left the facility, she fainted in the parking lot. Her husband took her to an area hospital, where a urine test showed the presence of benzodiazepine, a commonly used in date-rape drugs.
A search warrant was issued and McCallister was arrested and booked in the Polk County Jail.
McCallister has served previous sentences for robbery, kidnapping and drugging victims in Orange County.
