Shiloh, OFallon secure grants for more cameras
the Village of Shiloh has secured a $15,000 grant from the St. Clair County Parks Grant Commission for additional security cameras at Three Springs Park and Community Park. and the City of OFallon has been awarded a $15,000 grant for a similar security system.
In August, the Shiloh board awarded a $30,000 bid to Feeney Wireless, based in Eugene, Org. to install two cameras at Shiloh Community Park and one camera at Three Springs Park as well as equip Shiloh with a portable camera it can place where needed.
The Parks Grant Commission received 22 grant requests, and 18 were selected for funding, totaling $223,673. the village has received grants from the Parks Grant Commission in the past for work at Three Springs Park and Sierra Park in Shiloh.
Public open space is an absolutely essential resource for any community and the money we have collected through sales tax has enabled St. Clair County to help many of our communities add to the quality of life, St. Clair County Board Chairman mark Kern said.
