How to disable motion lazers on a garage door opener?
I have the motion lazer detector things on the bottom of my garage door and want them gone so i dont have to stand outside shut the garage, what a hassle
most newer openers will not operate when the safety beam sensors are removed.
i dont understand why you have to shut the door from the outside. do you not have a remote? is it a detached garage?
sometimes you can bypass the sensors by simply closing the circuit on the opener head. find where the sensors connect to the opener and simply connect the two terminals with a short piece of wire.
but sometimes the newer models MUST HAVE the sensors connected. if this is the case and you need to “cross” the beam while the door is closing you can either “jump” over the beam or move them up higher in the door frame and “duck” under them…
