how do you use an passive infrared sensor.?
im wanting to build a robot that senses human presence and goes toward it. i need to know how to use a pir sensor. does it work like a photo-resistor? like if someone gets in its beam then it will let electricity pass through it then? also does a passive infrared sensor need a reciever for the beam?
A passive infrared sensor does not have a “beam”. It works by picking up infrared radiation emitted by people, animals or other objects. If movement of the source is detected, the output is triggered.
